Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Checkout Operations: Learn and execute accurate point-of-sale processing, handling cash and card transactions efficiently while adhering to store procedures.
- Customer Service: Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional service to shoppers, assisting with product queries and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Store Operations: Support daily store routines, including stock replenishment, shelf tidying, price verification, and keeping checkouts clean and organized.
- Classroom & Practical Assessment: Actively participate in all required training sessions, complete portfolio activities, and satisfy assessment criteria to obtain the NQF qualification.
Minimum Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a valid South African citizen with a green barcoded ID or smart ID card.
- Age Requirement: Must be between 18 and 29 years old at the time of application.
- Education: Must have successfully completed and passed Matric / Grade 12.
- Employment Status: Must be currently unemployed and NOT registered on any other learnership, internship, or skills programme.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
- Teamwork & Mindset: Ability to work effectively within a busy store team, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to shift schedules.
