AVBOB is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the General Worker position at its Springs Insurance Office in Gauteng.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and general neatness within the office premises. The appointed person must ensure that the working environment remains clean, organised and welcoming for employees and visitors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Cleaning and Office Maintenance
- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain high hygiene standards throughout the office.
- Vacuum, sweep and mop office floors.
- Dust office furniture, surfaces and flowers.
- Empty and clean waste bins.
- Clean and wash hand basins, toilets and sinks.
- Wash office windows and ensure they remain clean.
- Maintain the overall neatness of the office environment.
Kitchen and Refreshment Duties
- Prepare and serve tea and coffee when required.
- Wash dishes and dishcloths.
- Refill tea and coffee dispensers.
- Refill water in the office water cooler.
- Ensure kitchen areas remain clean and hygienic.
Toilet and Hygiene Maintenance
- Check toilet paper supplies and refill when necessary.
- Ensure soap dispensers are adequately stocked.
- Maintain cleanliness in toilets and washing areas.
- Ensure all cleaning responsibilities are completed properly and regularly.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Grade 10 qualification.
- Ability to communicate in English will be an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Willingness to perform cleaning and general office duties.
Experience Required
- Previous cleaning experience will be a definite advantage.
- Applicants with experience in office cleaning, housekeeping or general cleaning duties may have an advantage.
Skills and Personal Attributes
The ideal candidate should be hardworking, trustworthy, responsible and reliable.
