About the Role
As a Shop Assistant, you will help create an enjoyable shopping experience by assisting customers, promoting products, maintaining store standards, and supporting daily retail operations. Your goal will be to maximize sales while delivering exceptional customer service that leaves every customer with a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Greeting and assisting customers with their shopping needs.
- Recommending suitable products and explaining product features.
- Achieving sales and add-on sales targets.
- Ensuring products are correctly priced and displayed.
- Maintaining attractive merchandising and promotional displays.
- Keeping the store clean, organised, and well-presented.
- Participating in stock counts and stock takes.
- Reporting fast- and slow-selling products to management.
- Minimising stock loss and protecting company assets.
- Supporting daily store operations as required.
Minimum Requirements

- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- At least 6 months of retail experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A sales-driven attitude.
- Good merchandising skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliable transport or your own transport to work shifts.
