About the Operator Position
The Operator will work within the Production (Packaging) Department and operate processing equipment according to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for operating, monitoring and controlling plant processes.
Key duties include:
Operating Processing Equipment
- Operate processing equipment such as pasteurisers, homogenisers and separators according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitor production processes and ensure that equipment operates according to required procedures.
- Help maintain production yield and throughput.
- Assist with efficiency improvement initiatives and the reduction of operating costs.
- Maintain accurate records of important production variables.
- Record production volume and yield.
- Record plant start-up and downtime.
- Record utility consumption as required.
- Participate in programmes and procedures aimed at maintaining plant cleanliness.
- Monitor the use and inventory of process chemicals and other supplies.
Quality Assurance
The Operator will also assist with maintaining the required quality standards throughout the production process.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the integrity of raw materials and finished products.
- Communicating with the laboratory to support the effective implementation of quality assurance procedures.
- Taking samples and testing process streams when required by the quality assurance programme.
- Maintaining accurate quality assurance records.

Plant Maintenance and Safety
Operators will also assist with plant maintenance and safety activities.
