Main Purpose of the Job
The Security Officer will be responsible for protecting company assets, controlling access to mine facilities, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be required to:
- Patrol mine areas on foot or by vehicle
- Monitor and control access to company premises
- Escort visitors and employees within the mine
- Respond to security incidents and alarms
- Conduct preliminary investigations when required
- Collect and preserve evidence at incident scenes
- Inspect fire and safety equipment
- Assist with crowd control and security operations
- Perform guarding and protection duties
