Key Responsibilities
Successful applicants will be responsible for:
- Cleaning hospital wards, offices, waiting areas, passages, and bathrooms.
- Cleaning showers, staircases, windows, and fire escapes.
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing floors.
- Dusting furniture, equipment, and hospital surfaces.
- Cleaning medical equipment and refrigerators where required.
- Emptying bins and removing general and medical waste.
- Cleaning spillages safely and efficiently.
- Following Health Care Waste Management procedures.
- Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
- Applying Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices at all times.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment.
- Rotating between different cleaning areas as required.
- Performing any additional duties assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification.
- Good communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform routine cleaning duties.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
