ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a young South African looking for an opportunity to gain workplace experience in administration? Curro is inviting applications from eligible candidates for its YES Programme Business Support position at Curro DigiED Victory Park in Johannesburg.

This programme is designed to help young people develop practical office administration skills, gain valuable workplace experience and improve their future employment opportunities.

Successful candidates will assist with daily office operations while learning from experienced professionals. This is a stipend-based opportunity offered on a 12-month contract, with duties expected to commence in January 2027.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates may be responsible for the following duties:

  • Office Administration: Assist with filing, record-keeping and maintaining organised office systems.
  • Data Capturing: Enter information into spreadsheets, databases and other systems accurately.
  • Communication: Assist with drafting emails, answering calls and supporting internal communication.
  • Meeting Support: Help schedule meetings, prepare meeting materials and arrange venues.
  • Document Preparation: Assist with photocopying, scanning and preparing reports or presentations.
  • Teamwork: Work with colleagues to support daily operations and complete assigned tasks.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training and mentorship to develop workplace skills.
  • Professional Conduct: Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, teamwork and a positive attitude.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Must be South African youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must be previously unemployed.
  • Must live close to the Curro school or office they are applying to.
  • Must have good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, professional and willing to learn.

A qualification in Business Administration, Office Management or a related field will be advantageous.

STIPEND AND CONTRACT

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend ranging from R5,241 to R6,000 for the duration of the 12-month contract. Please note that this is a stipend-based programme and not a permanent salaried position.
