About the Role
As a Material Handler, you will play an important role in ensuring that warehouse operations run efficiently. You will be responsible for receiving stock, placing products in the correct storage locations, picking and packing customer orders, conducting stock counts, and ensuring all warehouse activities comply with company procedures.
The role requires attention to detail, physical fitness, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Receive, pick, pack, and store stock according to Warehouse Management System (WMS) procedures.
- De-stack pallets in preparation for receiving stock.
- Verify supplier delivery documentation.
- Label products correctly during receiving.
- Follow document control procedures.
- Store stock in the correct warehouse location according to Hazchem classifications.
- Apply product identification, handling unit (HU), dispatch, and warehouse labels correctly.
- Pick the correct products and quantities using RF scanners.
- Record picked stock on dispatch control sheets.
- Report stock discrepancies to supervisors.
- Pack products according to customer and Hazchem requirements.
- Participate in stock takes and cycle counts.
- Report safety incidents immediately.
- Wear and maintain the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet daily productivity and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Good English communication skills.
- Clear criminal record.
- Reside within 15 km of Centurion.
