Salary and Benefits
Successful candidates will receive:
- Salary: R235 476,00 – R327 048,00 per annum
- Estimated remuneration package: R331 651,00 – R448 205,00 per annum
Job Purpose
The Truck Driver will be responsible for:
- Maintaining trees on road reserves, parks, and open spaces
- Supporting environmental quality and community services in Region 7
- Operating specialised municipal equipment
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 10 qualification
- At least 6 months’ truck driving experience
- Valid Code C1/EC1 driver’s licence
- Valid PrDP
- Physically fit and healthy condition
- Willingness to work shifts
- Ability to undergo a criminal record check
- Willingness to provide fingerprints at own cost

Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Control allocated vehicles and equipment
- Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (1993)
- Prepare sites for new developments
- Operate mechanical stump grinders safely
- Operate mechanical chippers safely
- Maintain equipment according to operational manuals
