Job Description
Tiger Brands is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of General Worker at its Isando facility in Gauteng.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general factory and production duties, assisting with the movement of products, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring that workplace safety and food safety standards are followed.
This opportunity is suitable for physically fit candidates who can work in a fast-paced environment and are willing to work shifts, including weekends and overtime when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general physical labour, including lifting, carrying and moving heavy loads of up to 25kg.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Stack and palletise finished products on the correct pallets.
- Inspect materials and finished products for defects.
- Complete quality-check documentation when required.
- Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Wear and comply with the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report potential workplace safety risks.
- Assist with resolving safety concerns and observations.
- Follow food safety policies and procedures.
- Support production operations to ensure smooth daily activities.
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Matric / Grade 12).
- Must be medically and physically fit.
- Must be willing to work shifts.
- Must be available to work weekends and overtime when required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move loads of up to 25kg.
