Job Overview
Medirite Plus is looking for a versatile Beauty Therapist / Nail Technician to join its Nailbar team at the Circular Drive branch in Gqeberha.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional beauty and nail treatments while ensuring that customers receive a friendly, professional and high-quality experience. The position combines practical beauty therapy skills with customer service, product recommendations and basic retail sales.
The role involves providing treatments such as manicures, pedicures, eyebrow threading and shaping, basic facial waxing and massage treatments. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, health and safety within the Nailbar and retail pharmacy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Beauty and Nail Services
The Beauty Therapist / Nail Technician will be responsible for delivering professional treatments according to established service standards.
Duties include:
- Providing professional manicures.
- Providing professional pedicures.
- Performing basic nail care treatments.
- Providing eyebrow threading and shaping.
- Performing basic facial waxing.
- Providing massage treatments.
- Ensuring that all treatments are performed safely and professionally.
- Maintaining consistent service standards during every treatment.
- Ensuring treatments meet customer expectations.
- Following applicable hygiene, sanitation and health and safety requirements.
Customer Experience

Operational Responsibilities
The Nailbar must be maintained to a high standard at all times.
Responsibilities include:
- Keeping the Nailbar clean and organised.
- Ensuring the treatment area is always client-ready.
- Cleaning and organising treatment equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness of beauty and nail tools.
- Ensuring equipment and tools comply with operational standards.

- Complying with trading and operational requirements.
- Maintaining appropriate hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Supporting the overall standards of the store.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have the following:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- A recognised Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Somatology or Nail Technology.
- The qualification may be local or international.
- At least 1 year of practical experience in a salon, nail bar or similar professional beauty environment.
- Strong practical skills in manicures.
- Strong practical skills in pedicures.
- Knowledge of basic nail care techniques.
- Competency in eyebrow threading and shaping and/or basic facial waxing.
- Good understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a retail environment.
- Good knowledge of nail and beauty products.
- Ability to recommend suitable beauty products to clients.
Desirable Experience
