Purpose of the role
To provide support on general production requirements to ensure effective running of the Mill.
Education and Qualification
- Grade 12
Knowledge and skills
- Basic numeracy
- Knowledge of production processes
- Knowledge of health and safety rules
Main Responsibilities
- To ensure all required resources are available in line with production requirements.
- To report all mechanical/electrical issues to the control room / supervisor that may affect the smooth running of the plant.
- Accurately record any data required for production analysis e.g. tipping logs.
- To respond to manual production bottlenecks e.g. clearing chocked elevators.
- Conduct visual checks e.g. availability of raw materials and report any deviation to the control room / supervisor.
- To perform daily stock take duties.
- Good housekeeping and ad hoc duties including general filing and data recording.
