Triton Express is looking for a Driver Extra Heavy Motor Vehicle (Code 14) to join its Johannesburg East Rand branch on a temporary contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and delivering customer cargo safely and efficiently while ensuring that company vehicles are well maintained and operated according to road safety regulations.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced heavy vehicle drivers who have excellent knowledge of Gauteng routes, a valid Code 14 driver’s licence with a PDP, and experience working in the transport or logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Collect and deliver customer cargo safely and on time.
- Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections before every journey.
- Report vehicle faults and maintenance issues immediately.
- Ensure cargo is loaded and offloaded safely without damage.
- Verify delivery and collection addresses before travelling.
- Maintain communication with the depot throughout the workday.
- Complete daily collections and deliveries according to schedule.
- Ensure all Proof of Delivery (POD) documents are completed accurately.
- Keep delivery sheets and collection records up to date.
- Ensure company vehicles and trailers remain clean and presentable.
- Drive responsibly while complying with road traffic regulations.
- Represent Triton Express professionally when interacting with customers.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s licence with no endorsements.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- 3–5 years of relevant heavy vehicle driving experience.
- Good reading, writing, and spoken English skills.
- Good geographical knowledge of the Gauteng area.
- Own reliable transport to and from work.
- High level of honesty, professionalism, and integrity.
