Purpose of the Position
The purpose of this role is to provide general warehouse support by assisting with the movement, storage, and management of stock. The General Worker will ensure products are handled safely, stock is accurately counted, and the workplace remains clean and organised. The role plays an important part in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Successful applicants will be expected to:
- Load and off-load trucks safely and efficiently.
- Sort and store stock in the correct locations.
- Assist with stock counting and inventory control.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organised work area.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Handle products carefully to prevent damage.
- Support other warehouse and retail activities when required.
- Assist colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Be available to work overtime when necessary.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- A valid Code 08 driver’s licence.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent physical health.
- Ability to perform manual labour.
- Honest, trustworthy, and reliable character.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
