Job Overview
Tsebo Cleaning and Hygiene Solutions is looking for a professional and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join its hospitality team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms and designated areas to high cleanliness and service standards while contributing to a positive and comfortable guest experience.

The Room Attendant will work as part of a hospitality and housekeeping team but must also be comfortable completing assigned duties independently.

Key Responsibilities
The Room Attendant will be responsible for ensuring guest rooms and assigned areas are maintained according to required standards. Key duties include:
- Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to the required housekeeping standards.
- Changing bed linen and replacing used towels.
- Replenishing guest amenities and ensuring rooms are properly stocked.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of assigned public areas and corridors.
- Reporting maintenance problems and damaged items promptly.
- Reporting lost property according to the required procedures.
- Responding to guest requests in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Following all health, safety, hygiene, and security procedures.
- Maintaining housekeeping equipment in good working condition.
- Assisting with deep-cleaning duties when required.
- Accurately recording completed housekeeping activities and assigned tasks.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional working environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- A relevant qualification related to management, as specified in the advert.
- Previous hotel experience.
- Good communication and people skills.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- The ability to work independently and complete assigned duties responsibly.
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to work longer hours when operationally required.
- Availability to work weekends.
