A company based in Westville, Durban is looking to appoint two Office Assistants / Office Cleaners to help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming office environment. The successful candidates will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the office by ensuring that workspaces, meeting rooms, kitchens, reception areas, and other facilities remain clean and well maintained. In addition to cleaning duties, the role also includes preparing and serving refreshments for staff, management, clients, and visitors, helping create a professional and welcoming environment for everyone entering the office.
This position combines office cleaning, hospitality, stock control, and general office support, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy varied responsibilities and working as part of a team. A large portion of the role involves daily cleaning and hygiene maintenance. You will dust, polish, sanitise desks, clean office furniture, sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and ensure kitchens, boardrooms, reception areas, and common spaces remain spotless throughout the day. Cleaning coffee machines, maintaining kitchens, and ensuring washrooms are hygienic and well stocked are also important responsibilities.
Hospitality is another key part of the position. Office Assistants will prepare tea, coffee, water, and other refreshments for employees, management, clients, and visitors. You will also assist in setting up meeting rooms by arranging refreshments before meetings, training sessions, or executive visits and ensuring everything is cleaned and packed away afterwards.
The successful candidates will also monitor office supplies and inventory levels. This includes tracking cleaning products, groceries such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, hot chocolate, coffee beans, paper towels, and toilet paper. When supplies begin running low, you will notify management to ensure stock is replenished before shortages occur.
In addition to cleaning and hospitality duties, you may occasionally assist with basic office support tasks such as shredding documents, photocopying, organising storage areas, and helping reception staff when required. Flexibility and a willingness to assist wherever needed will be highly valued.

- Report low stock levels to management.
General Office Support
