About the Munich Re Actuarial Graduate Learnership 2026
Munich Re is now searching for applicants who would like to obtain a theoretical knowledge and practical skills focusing on the Actuarial Graduate path. The Munich Re Actuarial Graduate Learnership seeks a highly motivated Actuarial Graduate Trainee to join its Non-Life Corporate Actuarial team. The position provides hands-on exposure to non-life reserve monitoring and projections, IFRS 17 reporting, regulatory reporting, and business performance analysis across the Sub-Saharan African portfolio. Through this experience, the trainee can build a strong foundation and develop the skills needed for a future career as a professional actuary.

You will be required to perform the duties below:

  • Support quarterly and annual non-life reserving activities.
  • Assist with IFRS 17 reporting, review input assumptions for quality, and analyse financial results.
  • Contribute to regulatory capital reporting requirements.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and movement analysis to ensure reliable results.
  • Analyse trends and business performance across the non-life reinsurance portfolio.
  • Work with actuarial models, analytical systems, and reporting tools.
  • Develop and automate actuarial processes using Excel, programming, and data analytics tools.
  • Prepare actuarial reports, presentations, and management information for relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with actuaries and stakeholders across different business functions and global teams.

You will be required to perform the training below:
