Job Overview

&Beyond is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Housekeeper to join its luxury lodge in Hluhluwe. This permanent live-in position is ideal for an individual with a strong hospitality background who is committed to delivering world-class guest experiences while leading and developing a high-performing housekeeping team.

The successful candidate will oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring the lodge consistently maintains exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards. This role also involves stock management, budgeting, staff training, and maintaining operational excellence in line with &Beyond’s renowned hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the housekeeping department and daily operations.
  • Supervising and supporting the laundry team.
  • Ordering and managing housekeeping stock and supplies.
  • Conducting monthly stock takes and inventory control.
  • Performing daily room inspections to ensure 5-star standards are maintained.
  • Managing departmental budgets and operational expenses.
  • Overseeing housekeeping equipment and ensuring it is properly maintained.
  • Training, coaching, and developing housekeeping staff.
  • Maintaining exceptional guest service standards.
  • Ensuring all housekeeping operations comply with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a 5-star hospitality operation.
  • Previous housekeeping experience.
  • Experience working within the hospitality or service industry.
  • Some form of managerial or supervisory training.
  • Knowledge of &Beyond and the &Beyond Foundation (advantageous).
  • A valid, unendorsed South African driver’s licence.
