JOB OVERVIEW
Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is inviting suitably qualified applicants to apply for the position of Casual Gift Wrapper in the Johannesburg South area of Gauteng.
The successful candidates will be responsible for wrapping and decorating customers’ purchases using gift-wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, and tape. The role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, have an eye for detail, and can provide friendly customer service.
This is an entry-level opportunity for applicants who have completed Grade 12 and are interested in gaining experience in the retail industry.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Basic customer service skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Must have a clear criminal and credit record, subject to the employer’s screening requirements.
- Must be willing to undergo MIE screening.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Gift Wrapping
- Assist customers in selecting suitable gift-wrapping materials.
- Wrap and decorate customers’ purchases professionally.
- Follow the company’s gift-wrapping standards and guidelines.
- Remove price tags from products before wrapping them.
- Ensure gift receipts are included where required.
- Arrange and store wrapped packages neatly in the designated gift-wrapping holding area.
- Keep the gift-wrapping area organised.
- Perform additional duties as requested by management.
2. Customer Service
- Welcome customers and determine their needs.
- Provide friendly, helpful, and courteous assistance to customers.
- Respond to customer questions and queries professionally.
- Ensure customer concerns are addressed and resolved within a reasonable time.
- Maintain a professional appearance by wearing the correct uniform and name badge.
- Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviour by customers or staff members to management.

REMUNERATION
