ABOUT THE JOB
TWK Agri is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join its Trade division in Dundee. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer transactions accurately, receiving payments, issuing receipts and providing friendly customer service.
The position also involves assisting with general store duties, including stocking shelves, checking prices and conducting stock takes. Applicants should be comfortable working with money, serving customers and maintaining an organised checkout area.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Receive customer payments by cash or card.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts.
- Sort, count and wrap notes and coins.
- Calculate prices and prepare customer bills.
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits and correct change.
- Greet customers and assist them in the store.
- Keep records of transactions and balance sheets.
- Bag, box and wrap merchandise for customers.
- Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area.
- Stock shelves and mark prices on products.
- Assist with stock takes and other general store duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Computer literacy.
- Previous cashier experience.
- Ability to handle money accurately.
- Good customer service skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to assist customers professionally.
Advantageous: Being trilingual in Afrikaans, English and isiZulu.
