Icebolethu Group is looking for 4 Security Officers to protect its premises, employees, visitors, assets and equipment in Rustenburg. The successful candidates must be vigilant, professional and physically fit, with the ability to respond effectively to security incidents and maintain a safe working environment.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric is essential.
- Valid PSIRA registration/certification.
- Minimum 2 years’ proven experience as a Security Guard or Security Officer.
- Practical experience operating CCTV surveillance systems.
- Experience using security communication equipment.
- Must be physically fit and healthy.
- Certified in Self-Defense.
- First Aid / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid Firearm Competency for a Handgun, Shotgun or Rifle will be an added advantage.
- Advanced or Defensive Driving skills will be an added advantage.
- Strong observation and monitoring skills.
- Good knowledge of security and public safety procedures.
- Good report-writing skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must be professional, disciplined, alert and able to remain calm under pressure.
Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the company’s premises, employees, visitors and assets.
Duties will include:
- Monitor and control access to the premises.
- Authorise the entry and exit of visitors and vehicles.
- Conduct regular foot patrols.
- Maintain order and ensure that exits, doors and windows are secured.
- Monitor CCTV systems and surveillance equipment.
- Operate security communication equipment.
- Identify suspicious behaviour and potential security threats.
- Respond quickly to alarms and security incidents.
- Investigate suspicious individuals or activities.
- Assist people who may be in distress.
- Handle security situations professionally and effectively.
- Remove trespassers from the premises where required.
- Detain perpetrators in accordance with legal procedures until law enforcement arrives.
- Maintain daily security and surveillance logs.
- Record all incidents and occurrences accurately.
- Prepare clear and detailed incident reports for management.
- Prevent theft, vandalism, criminal activity and unauthorised access.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
