The three director-level positions are part of the Management Echelon and each carries an all-inclusive annual remuneration package of R1,317,384.
1. Director: Nursing Stakeholder Management & Compliance

Salary: R1,317,384 per annum
Location: Pretoria
Applicants must have Grade 12 and an appropriate NQF Level 7 qualification in Nursing, recognised by SAQA, together with registration with the South African Nursing Council. At least five years’ experience at middle or senior management level in a nursing environment is required. The role focuses on stakeholder management, nursing and midwifery issues, research, professional collaboration, nursing education and strategic programmes.
2. Director: Compliance and Forensic Audit

Salary: R1,317,384 per annum
Location: Pretoria
The position requires Grade 12 and an appropriate NQF Level 7 qualification in areas such as Auditing, Accounting, Forensic Accounting, Risk Management, Internal Auditing, Forensic Investigation or Law. Applicants must have at least five years’ middle or senior management experience in compliance, forensic auditing, risk management, internal auditing, investigations and related areas. Duties include compliance monitoring, forensic investigations, fraud and corruption matters, audit oversight and risk management.
3. Director: Ethics and Risk Management

Location: Pretoria
Candidates require Grade 12 and an appropriate NQF Level 7 qualification in areas including Auditing, Accounting, Forensic Accounting, Risk Management, Internal Auditing, Forensic Investigation or Law. The successful candidate will manage ethics and risk management services, develop related policies and strategies, coordinate ethics awareness activities, facilitate risk assessments and maintain an Enterprise Risk Management framework.
4. Pharmaceutical Policy Specialist

Salary: Grade 1: R1,137,354; Grade 2: R1,241,454 per annum
Location: Pretoria
This position requires an appropriate pharmacy qualification and current registration as a pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council. Grade 1 requires at least five years’ appropriate post-registration experience, while Grade 2 requires at least thirteen years. The role involves pharmaceutical product specifications, bid processes, technical evaluation, tender adjudication, contract awards, quality assurance and risk management.
5. Deputy Director: Financial Accounting

The department is recruiting two Data Scientists. Applicants need Grade 12 and NQF Level 7 in fields such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Actuarial Science or relevant Engineering. Experience in data analysis, statistics, machine learning, health data management or related areas is required. Technical skills include Python and SQL, while experience with data visualisation and database technologies is also relevant.
8. Deputy Director: Recruitment, HR Policy and Planning

Salary: R932,292 per annum
Location: Pretoria
This position requires Grade 12, an NQF Level 7 qualification in Human Resource Management or a related field, a PERSAL certificate and at least three years’ experience at Assistant Director level in recruitment, selection, appointments, policy development and HR planning. Responsibilities include recruitment and selection, appointments and employee movements on PERSAL, HR policy development, workforce planning, risk management and audit responses.
9. Assistant Director: Administration

10. Assistant Director: Child Health

11. Senior Administrative Officer

At least two years’ supervisory experience in administration and experience working with tender documents are required. Duties include pharmaceutical bid administration, tender evaluation, adjudication preparation, award processes, risk management and contract registers.
12. Physical Control Security Officer

Salary: R413,001 per annum
