Purpose of the Position
The purpose of this role is to maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised workplace while assisting with daily warehouse operations. The successful candidate will ensure that cleaning duties are completed efficiently and provide support with receiving, storing, and picking stock to ensure smooth warehouse operations and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
Cleaning Duties
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
- Dust and clean desks, shelves, furniture, and equipment.
- Clean offices, reception areas, meeting rooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish correctly.
- Clean windows, doors, and glass surfaces.
- Wash cups, dishes, and kitchen utensils.
- Refill soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and sanitiser.
- Ensure restrooms remain clean throughout the day.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Report maintenance issues and workplace hazards.
- Monitor and store cleaning supplies safely.
Warehouse Duties
- Receive and check incoming stock.
- Allocate stock to the correct warehouse bin locations.
- Update bin locations and inventory records.
- Assist with stock replenishment.
- Pick customer and branch orders accurately.
- Assist with stock counts and stock takes.
- Perform daily housekeeping in the warehouse.
- Conduct double checks to minimise stock losses.
- Follow company procedures and supervisor instructions.
- Help achieve warehouse operational targets.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reliable and trustworthy character.
- Good time management skills.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour.
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed.
