Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to ensure that all Icebolethu Group branches remain clean, hygienic, safe, and visually appealing. Cleaners and Gardeners play an important role in creating a professional environment for employees, clients, and visitors by maintaining both indoor and outdoor areas to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to:
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness across various Icebolethu Group branches.
- Clean offices, reception areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and other designated workspaces.
- Ensure that hygiene standards and cleaning protocols are followed at all times.
- Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and disinfect work areas regularly.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of refuse safely and responsibly.
- Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages when necessary.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment is used correctly and stored safely after use.
- Perform routine gardening and landscaping duties.
- Cut grass, trim hedges, prune plants, and maintain flower beds.
- Water lawns, plants, and gardens as required.
- Operate gardening tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Keep outdoor areas neat, tidy, and attractive.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain company standards across all branches.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should possess the following:
- Previous cleaning or gardening experience will be an advantage.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and hygiene procedures.
- Ability to handle gardening tools and equipment effectively.
