Polokwane Municipality is recruiting 15 Cashiers within the Directorate: Transportation Services on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Successful candidates will assist with fare revenue administration, customer service, and travel card sales within municipal transport operations.
Position Details

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- National Diploma or Degree in:
- Accounting
- Financial Management
- Internal Auditing
Added Advantage
- 0–2 years’ experience in:
- Leeto la Polokwane Bus Operations
- Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems
Competencies and Skills
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Cash handling and numeracy skills
- Customer service orientation
- Good communication skills
- Honesty and integrity
- Reliability and professionalism
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Selling LLP Travel Cards at designated sales points
- Fare revenue administration
- Assisting customers with enquiries
- Providing quality customer service
- Capturing transactions accurately on the system
- Working closely with supervisors and staff members to ensure smooth operations
